From Clinical to Beautiful
Microneedling Treatments at Madison Medispa
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of fine needles to create tiny punctures in the top layer of your skin. These micro-injuries stimulate your body’s natural wound healing processes, leading to increased production of collagen and elastin. This can result in improved skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, stretch marks, and fine lines.

Treatments can be performed on various parts of your body, including the face, neck, and body. It is safe for most skin types and tones. The number of sessions required can vary depending on your skin condition and the desired results.
Microneedling is a wonderful treatment to incorporate into your skin care routine on a regular basis to help maintain optimal skin health!
Microneedling with PRF
Microneedling with PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is an advanced cosmetic procedure that combines traditional microneedling with the application of PRF, a substance derived from your own blood. This combination enhances the skin rejuvenation process by leveraging the growth factors and healing properties found in PRF. It is similar to PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) but offers multiple advantages including more concentrated regenerative host cells and growth factors, in addition to prolonged recruitment and release of growth factors.
Benefits of Microneedling with PRF:
-
- Enhanced Healing: The growth factors in PRF accelerate your skin’s natural healing process.
- Increased Collagen Production: The combination of microneedling and PRF stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture and firmness.
- Reduced Downtime: Patients often experience faster recovery times compared to traditional microneedling alone.
- Improved Results: The addition of PRF can lead to more significant improvements in your skin tone, texture, and overall appearance.
Microneedling (+/-PRF)
What It Treats:
- Fine Lines
- Acne Scars
- Sun Damage
- Stretch Marks
- Discoloration
Procedure Time:
About 1 hour.
Typical Recovery Time and Side Effects:
Microneedling has very little downtime and virtually no side effects. Your face, or other treated area, may appear slightly red and mildly swollen for an hour or two.
Results:
Microneedling can be done as a single session, but we usually recommend a series of 4 to see the best results. You will see improvements in fine lines and wrinkle, diminished pore size, reduced acne scaring, and improvements in skin tone and texture. If done together with PRF results are even better!
