Benign Skin Growth Removal

Benign Skin Growth Removal

Benign skin growth removal is a fast easy procedure for most patients, and it can have an amazing effect on your appearance and self-confidence! Typically performed with local anesthetic, it is a fast and pain-free way to get rid of unsitely growths on your skin.

What it Treats:

Skin Tags, Sebaceous Hyperplasia, Cherry Angiomas, Seborrheic Karatosis, Lentigines, Moles, and Milia can safely and effectively be removed.

Procedure Time:

Approximately 15-60 minutes.

Typical Recovery Time and Side Effects:

Depending on size and extent of the treated lesions, it may take 1-2 weeks for your skin to heal in the treated areas.  During this time you may have small scabs, and when the scab falls off, the new underlying skin is likely to look pink for several weeks.

Results:

After the treated areas have fully healed, the targeted lesion should be gone.

How Are Skin Lesions Removed?

There are several ways we remove benign skin lesions, depending on what we are treating.  We may use a Hyfrecator (electrocautery; electrodessication; electrofulgration); Sciton Erbium-YAG laser; or simple removal with a scalpel or needle under local anesthesia.  Treatments may even be combined for best outcome.
