Age-related collagen loss can cause lips to thin or create unwanted wrinkles around your mouth. Fortunately, you don’t have to let time have the last word. No matter what your age, it’s normal to want to look your best. Injectable lip and cheek filler is a safe, effective cosmetic procedure that helps restore your natural beauty. You’ve probably heard of injectables, but you may not realize that these injectables, or dermal fillers, are made from naturally occurring hyaluronic acid. By offering these types of products, at Madison Medispa we can give patients the natural-looking results they desire.

Dermal fillers help replace the volume loss that can happen with age. They gently lift and plump skin, filling wrinkles, smoothing out fine lines, and diminishing the look of scars. Some fillers also stimulate natural collagen production for longer-lasting results. Most of the dermal fillers we use at Madison Medispa are 100% natural. Our patients appreciate having a choice of injectable products.

Lip and cheek filler are two of our most popular injectable treatments. We use cheek filler to plump up hollow cheeks and soften the nasolabial folds, or “laugh lines.” Lip filler restores a natural, supple appearance to your lips and can be strategically placed to correct lip symmetry. Injectables can also address the fine lines some people get in their lips as they age.

We carry a full line of FDA-approved injectable products, including Radiesse, Belotero,  Juvéderm, Restylane, Sculptra, and Versa. Which product is best for you depends on your personal goals and the concerns you want to treat. During your consultation, you can learn more about the benefits and uses of each injectable brand.

What to Expect from Cheek and Lip Filler: Will I Look Natural?

Our certified nurse injector works closely with every patient to understand their needs and individual aesthetic goals. With high-quality products and one of our experienced professionals administering the treatments, your fillers will enhance your natural beauty.

Some of the ways fillers can be used are to:

  • Minimize fine lines and wrinkles
  • Fill hollow areas
  • Lift brows
  • Plump lips and correct asymmetry
  • Restore cheek volume (cheek lines filler)
  • Create contour
  • Rejuvenate hands

To get started with cheek and lip filler sessions, you can visit with our nurse, who will take the time for a full evaluation.

And you never have to wonder about costs. Our office manager is happy to meet with you privately to discuss fees before proceeding with your first appointment. We want all of our patients to be fully happy and confident with their decision to receive fillers. We’ll make sure you understand all costs and payment options before getting started.

How to Prepare for a Dermal Filler Appointment

Receiving dermal fillers is a straightforward procedure. We will provide all of the information for preparation and aftercare during your consultation.

Typically, we ask patients to avoid bleaching, waxing, tweezing, or using any type of irritating skin products in the areas to be treated. It’s also best to avoid strong sun exposure and use sunscreen.

There is no downtime required with lip filler or cheek lines filler. You can return to your normal activities as soon as you leave our clinic. Aftercare instructions are simple. Avoid pushing, scratching, or picking at the injection site, and avoid any strenuous heat (including saunas, hot tubs, and sunbathing) for at least 24 hours.

The results you see immediately are not final. Your dermal filler will gently settle into the injected area over the following days.

A Look at Our Injectable Brands

We prefer to offer a variety of injectable brands to our patients because different products are preferred for different procedures. For more information about the pros and cons of each injectable brand, feel free to ask questions during your consultation.

Here’s a quick look at the two most commonly used injectables at our clinic:

Restylane

Restylane is a clear, gel form of hyaluronic acid. It is formulated to mimic the natural hyaluronic acid in your body. Restylane is FDA-approved to use as a lip filler in patients ages 21 and over.

It is highly recommended for use in lips and for diminishing laugh and smile lines. In clinical studies of Restylane, 95% of patients continued to notice improvement 18 months after their initial appointment.

Restylane Lyft (formerly known as Perlane-L) is a hyaluronic acid gel. It is frequently used to smooth wrinkles in the face and correct volume loss in lips and cheeks. Restylane Lyft is especially recommended for patients who want to restore a youthful look to their hands.

When aging causes the fat in the back of your hands to deteriorate, it can result in sagging, wrinkled skin. In clinical trials, 76% of patients treated with Restylane Lyft saw improvement in the appearance of their hands six months after treatment. At Madison Medispa, we carry the full Restylane Collection of injectables.

Juvéderm

Juvéderm is another injectable form of hyaluronic acid gel. It’s frequently recommended for lip augmentation, to correct the fine lines around the mouth and the vertical wrinkles in the lips. With optimal treatment procedures, Juvéderm results can last up to 12 months. We carry the full Juvéderm collection.
